What a report should tell you
A performance figure on its own is close to useless. Up eight per cent against what, over what period, after which charges? We write reports to answer the question a client actually has, which is almost never what was the return and almost always am I still on track.
So every report in the app pairs the portfolio with the plan behind it. You see the valuation, the contributions and withdrawals that affected it, the return net of fees, and the goals those numbers are funding. Where a goal has drifted out of reach, it says so in the same place, with the levers — contribute more, retire later, spend less in year one — shown as numbers rather than advice-by-implication.
On security and access
The app reads your holdings; it does not transact. Sign-in is biometric with device approval, and any instruction that would move money happens through your adviser, with the usual confirmation steps. If you lose a phone, access is revoked from our side and your data goes with it.
None of it replaces the meeting. It means the meeting starts somewhere better than reconciling statements.
